Viscosity Grade Bitumen:
- Bitumen VG 40:
Bitumen VG 40 is a specialization asphalt used in road construction and various industries. Known for its high viscosity, thermal stability and water resistance. It create enduring road surfaces. Excelling under heavy traffic and challenging climates. Bitumen VG 40 is waterproofing and insulation, durability and cost –effective make it a construction essential, vital for infrastructure like highways, runways, bridges and industrial surface.
Production Process:
RTI is manufacturing of Bitumen VG 40 is High Shear Mill mixture of Bitumen with additives. The mixing of the various raw material in each phase in done in a close circuit of pipeline with a main headers pipeline. Pneumatically actuated valves and pumps achieve the mixing in exact quantities. The mixing phases are then passed through a high shear mill working at high speed. The High Shear Mill breaks the bitumen in very small globules and additives in bitumen.
RTI is certified to comply with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IS 73:2013 for the design, developing, manufacture, and supply of Viscosity Grade Bitumen.
Bitumen Emulsion:
- Bitumen Emulsion are usually two phase system consisting of two immiscible liquids, bitumen and water. The bitumen phase can be dispersed in the aqueous phase by mechanically shearing it in colloid mill. RTI take pride in delivering Bitumen Emulsion that exceed BIS/ASTM standards. Bitumen Emulsion have a low viscosity and can be workable at ambient temperatures, which makes item ideal for use in road pavements and surfacing. This application requires controlled breaking and setting.Cationic Bitumen Emulsion Anionic Bitumen Emulsion
Production Process:
Bitumen Emulsion is a colloidal solution of Bitumen dispersed in water prepared with the help of surface active agent known as Emulsifier. The manufacturing process of bitumen emulsion involves two phase:
- Dispersed Phase: This phase consists of liquid bitumen fluxed in line with a small quantity of additives like
- Dispersing Phase: This phase consists of water in which a small quantity of Emulsifier and additives like salt, acid is mixed in tank.

The two phase are then passed through a colloidal mill working at high speed. The colloidal mill breaks the bitumen in very small globules and an emulsion of bitumen in water is produced.

- Rapid Setting 1 Bitumen Emulsion (RS 1):
Bitumen Emulsion RS 1 is a widely used emulsion in the road construction industry. This emulsion is used for various applications such as surface dressing, penetration macadam and cold mix asphalt.
Rapid Setting Bitumen Emulsion RS 1 is a high quality water based chocolate brown colour liquid that flows freely at ambient temperature. It is ideal for Tack coat application on bituminous surface.

- Rapid Setting 2 Bitumen Emulsion (RS 2):
RTI Emulsion RS 2 is specially designed water based Bitumen Emulsion with high Viscosity and fast setting time that makes it an ideal spraying product for road maintenance. It is chocolate brown in colour and is a free flowing liquid at ambient temperature. RTI Emulsion RS 2 is manufactured strictly as per IS standard IS 8887:2018.
- RTI Emulsion SS 1h Cationic Bitumen Emulsion Confirming to ASTM D 2397 (SS 1H):
Bitumen Emulsion is a liquid form of Bitumen in which a substantial amount of bitumen is suspended in a finely divided condition in an aqueous medium; bitumen is the dispersed phase and water is the continues phase. RTI Emulsion CSS 1h bitumen emulsion is designed to exceed the functional requirements of respective applications. - Slow Setting Bitumen Emulsion (IS):
RTI Emulsion SS 1 is specially designated oil based Bitumen Emulsion with low viscosity, extended setting time and stability with cement that makes it an ideal product for Prime Coat application. It is black in colour and is a free flowing liquid at ambient temperature. RTI Emulsion SS 1 is manufactured as per IS standard IS 8887:2018. - RTI Emulsion SS2 :
RTI Emulsion SS 2 is a specially designed water-based Bitumen Emulsion with low viscosity and an extended setting time that makes it an ideal product for road maintenance applications. It is chocolate brown in colour and is a free-flowing liquid at ambient temperature. RTI Emulsion SS 2 is manufactured strictly as per IS standard IS 8887:2018. - Medium Setting Bitumen Emulsion (MS):
Bitumen Emulsion MS is specially designed water based bitumen emulsion with moderate viscosity and setting time. The medium range of setting time makes it is ideal product for premixing applications. It is chocolate brown in colour and is a free flowing liquid at ambient temperature.

Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen:
Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen is a unique and innovative material that has gained significant attention in the road construction industry. Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen is a high quality road construction material made by adding finely ground rubber particles to bitumen. The rubber particle are obtained from end of life tires. The resulting Crumb rubber is then blended with bitumen in a specific ratio to produce CRMB.
RTI is certified to comply with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IS 17079:2019 for the design, developing, manufacture, and supply of Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen.

Polymer Modified Bitumen:
- Polymer Modified Bitumen is bitumen combined with one or more polymer materials. This modification is done with the aim of enhancing the mechanical properties of the bitumen material. Polymer modified Bitumen is one of the grades of bitumen that has been specifically developed and engineered. It is one of the bitumen grades that is used in the production of the pavement, roads designed for heavy traffic, roofing solution for residential properties that can be withstand extreme weather condition. It offers higher resistance to permanent deformation at elevated temperature, better water resistance, and high elastic recovery and better edge resistance properties.
